Tinashe – Bet (feat. Dev Hynes)

Tinashe-Aquarius

It’s interesting what listening to Power 106 every morning en route to work does to you. If it wasn’t for hearing 2 On (feat. Schoolboy Q)  no less than four times within a 45-minute span every single day, I’m sure I’d have no clue who Tinashe was. It’s a good thing though, or else I would’ve skimmed right past her newest track Bet (feat. Dev Hynes).

TĀLĀ

TALA_image

I can’t word it any better than her label puts it, so I won’t:

“Born in London from a melting pot of contrasting cultures and influences, TÃLÃ celebrates the eclectic – growing up in the 90s of Iranian descent, the soundtrack to TÃLÃ’s key influential years as a youngster was a mixture of classical music, 90s hip-hop and R&B, and computer game soundtracks.”

Watch the video for Serbia below and scope the rest of her tracks (link above) including Alchemy from her upcoming November EP.

Peaking Lights – Everyone and Us

PeakingLights_Main_v1

Peaking Lights are back at it, this time toning back the obscurity and bringing us those smooth house beats we all seem to love. (See entire Drive Soundtrack that never ceases to be a topic of conversation) Stream ‘Everyone and Us’ from their upcoming album Cosmic Logic below.
